My hope is that you don't feel offended that I didn't disclose the details. If you came to me and said my work is suffering I would have opened up. Maybe that's the incorrect approach, I'm unsure because I've never been thru this experience before and never planned to so have no idea what is proper and correct protocol and etiquette when dealing with personal sensitive issues. I've never had my personal life this unsettled ever. I work every day to bring my best self to my work and I feel very good about what I've contributed thus far. However, I also know that I am capable of more and better honestly. I know I'm being overly respectful of everyone's domain and position. You're all ahead of me on the Hatch curve and I do 'hold back' some comments and opinions. I don't want to step on toes, overreach or come across as some high falooting designer. 😊 Primarily because I want to avoid going down rabbit holes and wasting time/effort/money on things that most likely don't matter in the big picture. i'm happy to give you some examples if you like. When I heard Sam speak yesterday in the all hands about aiming for world-class excellence I know exactly what he means. And when it comes to UX I know what would meet that standard. But that needs to be balanced with reality. 😊
